Ian Gajczak Farrier's online platform offers tutorial videos and his classic "Ianalogy's", providing a valuable resource for anyone interested in hoof care, farriery and related subjects.
Sharing knowledge together
Whether you're an owner or a farrier, whether you're experienced or just starting out, we all have a desire to improve our knowledge and skills.
There are many ways to achieve this, but it can be overwhelming when there is conflicting information and methods.
Watching someone demonstrate a task can give us a general understanding, but does it truly teach us how to do it ourselves?
When I teach, I prioritize addressing what people want to learn rather than just sharing what I already know.
So, instead of showing the finished puzzle, I prefer to guide people in arranging the pieces themselves. By simplifying the fundamental concepts and breaking them down into manageable parts - like bite-size pieces - and utilizing my teaching approach, I find that my audience have multiple "aha" moments and puzzles start to come together naturally.
