It is rare in any profession to find someone who is not only naturally talented, but also skilled, considerate, committed and so incredibly passionate about what they do. I was privileged to have Ian involved with my horses for the best part of 15 years and it is no exaggeration to say that during that time, he saved my horses life on at least one occasion. His attention to detail during “business as usual” shoeing was always exceptional, but when my horse of a lifetime developed steroid induced laminitis and was crippled overnight, Ian really kicked into another gear. He was proactive in finding innovative solutions and unwaveringly did everything he could to help and support the best interests of my horse. Without Ian, we would not have enjoyed the many additional years that we did and I will never be able to thank him enough for that.

One of the best, most informative and useful clinics i’ve been too. Ian has a keen eye for details that can easily translate to any level of student. Ian went over trimming, fitting and also lots of forging. Ian was great at picking out individual flaws helping me see them - helping me understand how to fix them.

I came away from Ian’s feeling very confident and much less of a dafty. I’m already planning my next trip to get some more tutoring. I couldn’t recommend Ian’s tutoring enough

Ive always enjoyed listening to Ians lectures. His approach to whole horse biomechanics is sensible, straight forward and repeatable which means the student can grasp the principles without being bamboozled - this means ultimately the horse benefits!

Very reliable and very knowledgeable. I started to use Ian when I moved through to Edinburgh and he’s been great with the horses and highlighting/fixing certain issues. Would highly recommend

As a farrier I was fortunate enough to go to one of Ian’s Clinic’s in Leighton Buzzard. Ian is an unbelievably great teacher and so easy to follow. A brilliant nice chap, absolutely enough said. 😁

Here goes, I may be married to you but what most people don’t know is the real passion, determination, hours and hours of pure dedication the sweat the tears and the relief when all your hard work pays off! You only ever have the horses best interest at heart! An out and out horseman in my eyes the best farrier in the world 🌎
Much love your wine 🍷 supplier 🤣

Ian has been our farrier for 9 years.Throughout this time he has worked with our family and been extremely supportive, kind and enthusiastic about achieving our goals from kids ponies to eventers.
When necessary he has worked collaboratively with our vets & physios to improve treatment outcomes.
Ian went above and beyond and created the most stunning wall plaque of my pony shoes that was PTS. He supported my horse when it had to return to Scotland from university after a serious leg and hoof injury and I’m thrilled to say that with correct farriery my dream horse is now back in action.
The service you receive from Ian is exemplary. He is a talented farrier who places importance on accuracy, precision and the best outcome for the horse.
If there is ever a lameness or soundness issue, Ian is my first port of call
Thank you Ian for everything you do for us and our horses ⭐️

Great farrier! Very knowledgeable. Ian has an amazing ability to convey knowledge to each persons unique way of understanding. Ian’s extreme attention to detail really sets him apart. I have spent a lot of time under Ian’s tutelage and would not be where i am today with his mentoring.
— Matt Bilderbeck - Australia
I first heard Ian speak at a presentation held by a major supplier. I was very impressed by his easy and straightforward approach to everyday shoeing issues. After many years in the business, it was refreshing to hear and see such clear examples of balance and conformation problems being addressed by someone who has obviously spent many hours of research and observation and presenting his findings in such clear manner. Since then he has been most helpful in sending me additional information.
— Tim Fieldwick - England
Harelaw-Wizard and I cannot thank Ian enough. You transformed Wizard’s feet to allow him to get to the very top - 5 star eventing. Without Ian this would not of happened so thank you.

Ian sussed and diagnosed something wasn’t right with my old boy, recommended X-rays and your diagnosis was spot on and remedial showing kept him sound until he sadly passed away at 27.
I also attended a “keep your horses hooves tidy between trimmings” clinic and it was great, informative, your “ian-ology” to help people understand how horses work is excellent, professional but fun, the cadaver legs attached to the models to make it realistic as possible for us to practise trimming. I would highly recommend Ian, his knowledge of horses is immense.
— Emma Hogg - Scotland
Ian is incredibly thoughtful & passionate about his work. He always keeps up to date with the latest knowledge & equipment. You know without a doubt that your horses are getting the best possible outcome from his visits. In the past, he’s worked brilliantly alongside the vet & the physio to successfully resolve a complex issue for our pony. He’s also very generous with his time explaining the how’s/whys, organised, professional, a great communicator, and totally reliable. I really can’t sing his praises enough.

Ian joined our team of 70 horses many years ago
Ranging from unshod Shetlands
Riding school ponies
Liveries
Competition horses
Many recovering from injuries
He took time and care for every individual pony or horse
None more important than the other
His explanation of things were second to none and the soundness and competition results of our ponies and horses spoke for themselves

Ian Gajczak Farrier worked with our event horses along side Ruaraidh Robb. Talented, empathetic and professional and great to work with.
— Jane Clark
Ian is a very skilled and knowledgeable farrier with a heart of gold.
I had the pleasure to work together with him on several different rehabilitation cases that needed podiatry support from tendon injuries to severe laminitis to hoof capsule distortion.
Ian was reliable, very knowledgeable and gave always 110% for the horse.
His communication skills and case documentation are absolutely excellent.
I also had the pleasure to work with him together on lectures about laminitis and lateromedial imbalances. He is an amazing teacher that has the ability to paint a picture in your mind, so you understand the problem and biomechanics behind it easily.
I Can highly recommend him. As a farrier, a lecturer and a colleague
